DESCRIPTION:jump to english version  \n  \nFast seismographisch zeugen die Fotografien aber auch von den Veränderungen der Bildsprachen\, die von den beiden Fotografen parallel zu den Themen immer wieder konsequent in ihrer jeweiligen Gegenwart verankert werden. So durchdringen die gesellschaftlichen Aktualitäten die Fotografie\, jedoch beeinflussen diese umgekehrt auch die Bildkonzepte. \nHinsichtlich der Sujets und Motive unterscheiden sich die Interessensschwerpunkte der beiden Fotografen nicht nur erheblich\, teilweise stehen sie sich diametral entgegen. Während André Kertész von Beginn an die Tradition der „photographie humaniste“ aufnimmt\, gleichwohl auch prägt und sich daran das Verständnis von Fotografie als gesellschafsrelevantem\, kritischen Medium ablesen lässt\, fotografiert Jacques Henri Lartigue häufig sein persönliches Lebensumfeld\, das durch eine mondäne Extravaganz und sorgenfreie Weltläufigkeit gekennzeichnet ist. Die Schnittstelle dieser beiden unterschiedlichen Perspektiven auf Gesellschaft(en) bilden die fortwährenden Versuche\, moderne Bildsprachen für das Gesehene und Fotografierte zu (er)finden. \nSämtliche Fotografien\, aus denen sich die Ausstellung zusammensetzt\, entstammen der Sammlung Médiathèque du patrimoine et de la photographie (MPP)\, einer französischen Staatseinrichtung und zählen zum primären\, nationalen Kulturerbe Frankreichs. Nach der äußerst erfolgreichen Ausstellungskooperation „Willy Ronis – Zuerst das Leben!“ im Jahr 2022 ist die Doppelausstellung\, die Werke von André Kertész und Jacques Henri Lartigue vorstellt\, die zweite Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Partnern. \n  \nDie Ausstellung ist eine Kooperation mit dem Ministère de la Culture\, Frankreich\, der Médiathèque du patrimoine et de la photographie (MPP) sowie der Stadt Versailles und wird gefördert mit Mitteln des Landes Brandenburg. \n  \n\n…\nThe double exhibition focuses on the perspective of modern photography\, which focuses on the developments in everyday life since the 1920s. \n  \nAlmost seismographically\, the 160 selected photographs by Jacques Henri Lartigue and André Kertész bear witness to the changes in visual languages\, which the two photographers consistently anchor in their respective present parallel to the themes. Current social events permeate photography\, but in turn they also influence the image concepts. \n  \nWith regard to the subjects and motifs\, the two photographers‘ main interests not only differ considerably\, but in some cases they are diametrically opposed. While André Kertész took up the tradition of “photography humaniste” from the beginning\, at the same time shaping it and showing the understanding of photography as a socially relevant\, critical medium\, Jacques Henri Lartigue often photographs his personal living environment\, which is characterized by a sophisticated extravagance and carefree cosmopolitanism. The interface between these two different perspectives on society(s) is the ongoing attempt to find modern visual languages for what is seen and photographed. \n  \nAll photographs that make up the exhibition come from the Médiathèque du patrimoine et de la photographie (MPP) collection\, a French state institution\, and are part of France’s primary national cultural heritage.
