DESCRIPTION:Tina Bara\, Christiane Eisler\, Clemens Gröszer\, Peter Gruchot\, Chris Hinze\, Charlie Köckritz\, Sven Marquart\, Peter Oehlmann\, Helga Paris\, Gerd Rattei\, Donald Saischowa\, Daniel Sambo-Richter\, Karin Wieckhorst \nfeat. flüstern & SCHREIEN\, Sandow\, WK13\, Tapetopia \n  \njump to english version  \n  \nDie Punk-Szene als eine Jugendbewegung in der DDR gehörte zu den wenigen subkulturellen Szenen des Undergrounds\, die konsequent interdisziplinär und zunächst komplett jenseits staatlicher Strukturen existierte. Vielfach mit massiven Sanktionen und Repressionen verknüpft und unter Beobachtung der Stasi stehend\, veränderten sich die Bedingungen ab ca. 1986/87\, indem die staatliche Kulturförderung auch Produktionen und Veröffentlichungen von Punkbands zuließ. Integration statt Exklusion schien das neue staatliche Handlungsprinzip zu bestimmen. Jedoch standen viele Mitglieder der Punkszene diesen Maximen skeptisch gegenüber und verweigerten sich (jener Vereinnahmung). \n  \nDie Band Sandow galt als eine der führenden Gruppen in der DDR der 1980er Jahre. Um die aus Cottbus stammenden Bandmitglieder\, die bis heute eine aktive Rolle im Kunstbetrieb spielen\, gruppierten sich Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene\, die zunehmend eine oppositionelle Haltung formulierten\, eigene Räume reklamierten und ebenso die republikweite Vernetzung organisierten. Währenddessen flankierte der Maler Hans Scheuerecker Konzerte mit exzessiven Mal-Happenings. Zeugnisse jener lokal und regional relevanten Kulturszene werden ebenfalls in die Ausstellung und vor allem das Veranstaltungsprogramm integriert. \n  \nHinweis: Jeden Samstag findet um 15:00 Uhr eine Filmvorführung von flüstern & SCHREIEN (DDR 1988) in der Ausstellung statt. \n  \nDer Eintritt zur Ausstellung ist kostenlos \n  \n  \nMedienpartner\n  \n\n\n…\nThe punk scene as a youth movement in the GDR was one of the few underground subcultural scenes that existed consistently interdisciplinary and initially completely outside of state structures. Often linked to massive sanctions and repression and under surveillance by the Stasi\, conditions changed from around 1986/87 onwards when state cultural funding also permitted productions and publications by punk bands. Integration instead of exclusion seemed to determine the new state action principle. However\, many members of the punk scene were skeptical of these maxims and refused to be taken over. \n  \nUsing artistic photography by Christiane Eisler\, Helga Paris\, among others\, as well as music recordings and film documents\, the exhibition provides a brief overview of the scenes in Berlin\, Dresden\, Erfurt and Leipzig. The focus of the presentation\, however\, is on the local and regional scenes in Cottbus and Lusatia\, which were extremely virulent and well-known across the republic in the 1980s. The band Sandow was considered one of the leading groups in the GDR in the 1980s. The band members\, who came from Cottbus and still play an active role in the art world\, were surrounded by teenagers and young adults who increasingly expressed an oppositional attitude\, claimed their own spaces and also organized nationwide networking. Meanwhile\, the painter Hans Scheuerecker accompanied concerts with excessive painting happenings. Evidence of this locally and regionally relevant cultural scene will also be integrated into the exhibition and\, above all\, the event program. \n  \nNote: Every Saturday at 3:00 PM\, a film screening of flüstern & SCHREIEN (GDR 1988) takes place in the exhibition. \n  \nAdmission to the exhibition is free \n  \n  \nMedia Partner\n
